Arne Vodder was one of the most influential Danish architects and furniture designers of the 19th century.
In the 1940s, Arne Vodder trained as a cabinetmaker with cabinetmaker Niels Vodder at the School of Interior Design in Copenhagen. He later entered the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, where he studied to become an architect and was taught by Finn Juhl.
The sense of detail, modest expression and a fondness for natural materials characterise Vodder’s designs.
