A new design from Ernst & Jensen balances an expression that is both voluminous and minimalist. The Lowlow sofa for Erik Jørgensen.
With Lowlow, the design duo Ernst & Jensen has created an interesting encounter between the vertical and the horizontal. The simple lines draw the sofa quietly; it is elongated and low in the surrounding space.
Lowlow is designed with thoughts of e.g elegant hotel lobbies and grand foyers in mind. It is intended for open spaces that require a design that that can create tranquility, and with its full body can invite one to rest.
Since 1995, Ernst & Jensen of Denmark have collaborated with Erik Jørgensen. The latest gem in the series is Lowlow, which was launched under 3DaysofDesign in 2019.
During more than 20 years of cooperation, Ernst & Jensen’s designs have ranged from sculptural furniture to tables and benches with soft shapes and geometric lines. The common denominator is organic forms that radiate calmness and hospitality.
The design duo Ernst & Jensen comprises Anne-Mette Bartholin Jensen and Morten Ernst. They studied together at the Academy of Fine Arts Architecture School in Copenhagen, from where they graduated in 1997 and 1998.
Through many years of collaboration, they have manifested themselves as exponents of contemporary Danish design.
