Together with their son Aiden, Eline and her husband Scott live in a house built in 2015, in Santa Monica, California. The house is surrounded by nature and it fits beautifully into its surroundings. It is the essence of California living.
Eline is an interior decorator and owns the company Midcentury Modern LA in California.
Eline and Scott met in Surfer’s Paradise in Australia; each of them was on a business trip. They quickly discovered they shared a passion for scuba diving, and for years they travelled around the world exploring some of the best scuba diving destinations. They visited Borneo and Palawan, to name just two. After their son Aiden was born he travelled with them all over the world. At age 3, he had already visited more than 20 countries and swum in numerous oceans.Photo by Roger Davies
As the couple built their house in Santa Monica, it was important to them to maintain the values they had cherished while travelling. They had grown accustomed to travelling with just the bare necessities, and they implemented this principle into the décor of their new home. They have surrounded themselves with furniture that has a value for them, and kept the style very minimalistic and clean. Eline decorated the entire house herself, which came naturally to her from her work as an interior decorator.Photo by Roger Davies - Delphi elements sofa
All over the house you find beautiful lines and stunning colour tones. In the living room they have a Delphi element sofa upholstered in the best aniline leather. The gorgeous cognac-coloured sofa is a nice extension of the wood façade of the house and the nature that flows through it.
In all the rooms you will find Danish design, and all the furniture has been selected with the utmost precision. Each piece complements the architecture of the house in its own way.Photo by Roger Davies - Delphi elements sofa
